The Hastings Hotel, located in the downtown Hartford area, is a Dolce Training Center. During the week, the hotel is used by corporations and businesses. The weekend finds the Hotel a bit less active. When we went on the initial search for a place to present the Wild Weekend, it was clear that we wanted to have the event in a facility that was truly looking forward to working with us. The larger hotel chains such as Hilton and Sheraton wanted us to commit to an astronomical food bill, beyond the high room rates.

We took several factors into consideration initially:
-Easy to fly in and out of (BDL - Bradley International Airport)
-Located within the local fan base so that if we needed to supplement our costs with local attendance, it wouldn't be difficult to do
-Hassle free location for the bands to travel to

After the tour of several facilities, it became clear that the Hastings Hotel met our needs. Amenities include:

-Shuttle Service to/from Airport for a small fee
-Shuttle Service Available into downtown Hartford
-Full service fitness center including steamroom and full court gymnasium
-Coffee makers, irons/ironing boards, blow dryers, some refridgerators/microwaves
-Hospitality suites for our use
-Bar/Lounge w/Large Screen TV and Pool tables for our use.

The only two things that were not 'perfect':
-While the rooms are extremely clean, they are geared towards the business learner/traveller. Each room has 1 Queen size bed and the rooms are a little smaller than a standard hotel room. Some rooms have 2 twin beds.
-No swimming pool

Other than that, the place is absolutely perfect for our event! And now that we've actually spent time at the Hastings Hotel, past Wild weekend attendees can attest to the quality of the staff and the facility!
