Wild Weekend, the second NRBQ gathering organized by Hamden’s Stacey Sandler, starts Thursday and runs through Aug. 17 at Hartford’s Hastings Hotel (85 Sigourney St.).

Opening at 7:30 Thursday will be The Chandler Travis Philharmonic. NRBQ, with The Whole Wheat Horns, will headline Aug. 15-16. Openers Aug. 15, starting at 7:30, will be ex-Commander Cody guitarist Bill Kirchen’s Baltimore-based band, Too Much Fun, along with The Rhodes Tavern Troubadours, also from Baltimore. Saturday’s openers, also starting at 7:30, will be Japanese band The Hotshots, plus Hartford native and ex-New Havener P.J. O’Connell.

Tickets are $25 Thursday, $40 each or $75 per couple per night Aug. 15-16. Entire weekend packages ($480 single/$650 double) include lodging; an Aug. 16 afternoon barbecue with the Q; representatives from Spirithouse Records (which will soon release a Q tribute disc) and Sundazed Records (which has two Q archival projects going); and brunch Aug. 17.
