Wild Weekend, the second NRBQ gathering organized by Hamdens
Stacey Sandler, starts Thursday and runs through Aug. 17 at Hartfords
Hastings Hotel (85 Sigourney St.).
Opening at 7:30 Thursday will be The Chandler Travis Philharmonic.
NRBQ, with The Whole Wheat Horns, will headline Aug. 15-16. Openers
Aug. 15, starting at 7:30, will be ex-Commander Cody guitarist Bill
Kirchens Baltimore-based band, Too Much Fun, along with The
Rhodes Tavern Troubadours, also from Baltimore. Saturdays
openers, also starting at 7:30, will be Japanese band The Hotshots,
plus Hartford native and ex-New Havener P.J. OConnell.
Tickets are $25 Thursday, $40 each or $75 per couple per night Aug.
15-16. Entire weekend packages ($480 single/$650 double) include
lodging; an Aug. 16 afternoon barbecue with the Q; representatives
from Spirithouse Records (which will soon release a Q tribute disc)
and Sundazed Records (which has two Q archival projects going);

Hi Stacey, Thought you would enjoy these photo's a friend of mine
took at a model train show, inside the scale Shaboo Inn is a miniature
NRBQ he said they were playing the 12-27-75 bootleg for good measure.
